I'm Fatima — writer, editor and book doula. I've spent over 13 years in the writing world: magazine journalism, ghostwriting, curriculum development, and mentoring writers through their very first manuscripts. I know what it takes to get a book from a small, fragile idea to a finished draft — because I've done it, and I've walked others through it.
Here's why this work matters to me. In our communities there are so many stories waiting to be told. So many voices that deserve to be heard. But the guidance, the support, and the belief that your story is worth telling has not always been easy to find. Not everyone has someone in their corner who sees their vision and says: yes, this is real, keep going.
That's the gap I fill.
In 2025, three writers came to me with nothing more than an idea. An inkling of what could be. I held space for them and guided them through every possibility. I held the vision on the days they couldn't hold it themselves — through the doubt, the hard days, and the moments they wanted to walk away.
One by one, all three finished their manuscripts.
Not because of me. Because of them. I just made sure they never had to do it alone.

Under my pen name BF Queen, I've published four romance novels and contributed to anthologies for women and young readers. Two of them, Mediocre and The Arrangement, won the Fofky's Award for Best Muslim Romance. I know the road from fragile idea to printed book because I've walked it myself — more than once.
