Do you work with first-time writers?
Yes — that's exactly who this is for. Most of the writers I work with are starting from nothing more than an idea.
Do you work with fiction and non-fiction?
Both. I've coached fiction and non-fiction writers to finished manuscripts.
What does "manuscript reading" mean?
If you already have writing — a partial or full draft up to 40,000 words — I read it before our call so our session is built around your actual work, not just a general conversation.
What if my manuscript is longer than 40,000 words?
Usually the first 4,000 words of your manuscript are enough for me to get a strong feel for your writing and give you meaningful direction. We can decide together what makes sense for your project.
How do I pay?
Payment details will be confirmed when you book. All payments are upfront and before we begin. (Payment methods to be added — EFT / PayFast / Yoco / SnapScan.)
Do you work with writers outside South Africa?
Yes, I do — international writers are very welcome, and I accept PayPal.
What happens after I book?
You'll get a confirmation within 24 hours, we'll pick a time that suits us both, and you'll fill in a short form so I can prepare for our call.
Can I reschedule?
Yes — with 24–48 hours' notice we can move your appointment. Payments are non-refundable, but rescheduled sessions are no problem with proper notice.
What's the difference between the Check-Up and the Manuscript Evaluation?
The Check-Up (R350) is written feedback on your first chapter only — up to 3,000 words. The Manuscript Evaluation (R2,800) is a full developmental assessment of your entire novel, up to 80,000 words, with a detailed 10–15 page editorial report. Start with the Check-Up if you're early in your draft; book the Evaluation once your manuscript is complete.
